Just doing a quick search, I find
John Brandell d. 21 Dec 1904, Hale, Iosco County;
Joseph Brandle d. 13 May 1909, buried Oak Grove cem, Coldwater;
David Brandell (marker says Brandal) d. 19 May 1905, North Star cem, Gratiot
Co;
Eli Brandal d. 3 Mar 1913, also in North Star cemetery.
The mother is given as Catherine Leppley, Lippley, Lepley. I did notice in
the 1850 census, Allen, Hillsdale Co, Michigan, John Lepley, age 69, b.
Pennsylvania, is living with John and Catherine Brindle family. Since
Michigan did not begin keeping death records until 1867, you may have to
search for his death.

I am looking for any information on my husband's family.His
ggreat
grandfather was John Brandal and gg grandmother was Catherine Brandal.
John was born in OH. His great grandfather Daniel Brandal is listed in
the census as born in OH and MI. I can trace Daniel's family to be at
Colon, St. Joseph, MI in the 1860 Census and in 1870 they are in North
Bend,Starke, Indiana. Daniel married Ellen Jane Buss(Bufs). Daniel's
parents were born in PA. I know that they also lived in Three Rivers, MI
and Kent co. MI. and of course where we now live, Marion, MI.
I would like any info on this family if at all possible. I know that
there are other Brandal's out there in MI and would like to find them
also.
Vivian Brandal
