Hi Terry,
She didn't give bad information, it just doesn't seem to work for us here in
Michigan.
In fact, the only place listed in the U.S. was the South Jordan, Utah FHC.
You may certainly forward my response to her. I used the link that you had
in the email.
After you create the account (they want your name, email addy, & if you are
a church
member), you are presented with a drop-down menu of the countries. After
choosing,
you are presented with a list of FHCs so you can choose the one to which the
films will be sent.
If Pat knows something different than this, she can let you know. While my
local FHC
is only a couple of miles from my house, others don't have that luxury, so
it would be
so convenient to be able to order films from home & put it on a credit card
or maybe
PayPal. We also wouldn't have to carry around a bunch of cash to place our
order--so
nice!
Let me know if she can shed any additional light on the subject.

Peggy, thank you. Pat Connors doesn't usually give out bad
information,
but
I didn't even get past the registration part. If it's ok with you, may I
forward your email to her off-List? Maybe there's something that we're
missing, or that she forgot to add to her email. I left part of Pat's email
attached in case someone might not know what we're talking about.

I just checked this out, it works only if you live in South Jordan (outside
Salt Lake City), Utah, or
in one of several foreign countries. Hopefully they'll roll it out to the
rest of the country, it's a nice
idea and would save the local FHCs from having to handle much cash. If
anyone finds that this
works differently for them, let us know!

Pat's original email:
If you use a Family History Center (Family History Library) near you and
you would like to order a film, you can do it online >>
I found out today that you can now order films at their website,
pay for them online and your center will call you, as usual, when then
arrive.
Here is the url for ordering:
https://films.familysearch.org/default.aspx
Before ordering the films, you need to open an account with them. They
only ask for your email address and a password.
