The next meeting of the French-Canadian Heritage Society of Michigan will be
held Saturday, 20 March at the Mount Clemens Public Library, 150 Cass
Avenue,
Mount Clemens, Michigan.
The meeting starts at *11:00 a.m in the Community Room*. Suzanne Boivin
Sommerville will repeat Part II of her presentation “Geography and
Genealogy:
Mapping Your Ancestors”. Bring research to share.
Light refreshments will be served.
The April meeting will be held on Saturday, 10 April, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in
the
Community Room of the library. Professor Denver Brunsman will speak on
“Revolutionary Detroit”.
The May meeting will be held on Saturday, 8 May, at 11:-00 a.m. in the
Library
Auditorium. Loraine DiCerbo and Suzanne Sommerville will speak about their
October 2009 trip to Kaskaskia, Fort de Chartres, Ste. Genevieve, and St.
Louis.
On Saturday, 24 July, at 7:00 p.m., we will join with the parish of
Ste-Anne-de-Detroit
in celebrating the 309th anniversary of Detroit at the French Night Novena.
The parish
is also celebrating 100 years of novenas.
French-Canadian Heritage Society of Michigan meetings are open to the
public.
