Hello,
I am researching Michigan's Prisoner of War camps operating during WWII. I have viewed "Enemy in Our Midst" based on research of the 5 upper peninsula camps and found a great deal of information for those camps. Unfortunately I have not found much regarding the lower peninsula camps. I would greatly appreciated hearing from anyone with information concerning the lower Michigan camps.
Many thanks,
Kim
Hi,
I was wondering if anyone had any experience getting naturalization
documents from Detroit. I have some family members that I would like to
get at least the Declaration of Intent for. Any suggestions are welcome.
I should mention that I contacted the Michigan archives regarding my
great-grandmother and they told me that I should contact the U.S.
District Court in Detroit (and gave me an address) first to get a
citation then contact the National Archives Regional Branch in Chicago.
I guess what I am wondering is how should I form a letter to the District
Court and has anyone had any experiences with them so I have an idea of
what to expect (or not expect).
Thanks,
Elise in WA
