Hi Sue:
You can go to:
http://www.mdch.state.mi.us/PHA/OSR/vitframe.htm
and print off the order form to order a vital record or you can order it
directly from there with a charge card. They do charge a $5 fee for mailing
if you use the charge card.
Also keep in mind that the state Michigan does require that the
certificate be 110 years old OR that you be named on the certificate as
either the birthee or one of the parents to get the certificate unless you
can prove legal right. If its over 110 years old they really don't care.
Regards,
Karen Krugman

Thanks in advance.

Hi all,
I am new on this list. I am looking for info on Barney Hendrix, b. either
May or Sept. 1873 in Houghton County, possibly in Pori, Laird Township. His
parents were both Irish immigrants (according to South Dakota 1900 census).
Barney had at least 3 brothers, Dan, Harry and Louis Hendrix. Harry had a
son named Alvie. The follwing people are somehow related: America Hendrix
Warden, Nora Hendrix Jones (lived in Davenport, IA), Stella (Hendrix) and
Lloyd Harkin, and Della (Hendrix) and Fred Kennedy. Barney married Jenny Mae
Batchelder in Elk POint, SD in oct. 1897. They had 4 kids between 1899-1905.
All 4 kids were given up for adoption in the SD/IA areas. Barney may have
died from a Railroad accident before 1910. If anyone has any info please
contact me.
Thanks, Jana Stanley

I am still looking for final resting place or descendants of
the following DENSMORE family members:
Robert W. DENSMORE, b. 1903, Eaton County, MI
Dorothy A. DENSMORE, b. 1905, Eaton County, MI
Charles B. DENSMORE, b. 1907, Eaton County, MI
William H. DENSMORE, b. 1915, Eaton County, MI
Loana E. DENSMORE, b. 1918, Eaton County, MI
These five children were from a family of nine children -
the parents were Paul Smith DENSMORE and Maud Alice STONER
(dau of Benjamin STONER and Laura CRAVEN). Since there are
many, many DENSMOREs buried in Michigan, there must be a
cousin left in Michigan or nearby. If any of these are your
grandparent, I would love to hear from you!
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you!

Hello,
I have a relative that came to Michigan from Italy. He married a girl here
in Michigan that was already a citizen. Would he still have to file for
Naturalization, or is he automatically because he married a US citizen? How
long after his arrival does he have to file for Naturalization? Would he
also have a "Green Card" or is that the same thing?
Sorry, I am fairly new to this and just need some help :-)
Thanks for reading,
