Hello rooters,
I subscribed to MI-GENEALOGY-D briefly to post some queries and check
replies. After finding information, etc. I no longer need to receive this
forum. I can not "unsubscribe" as I have with other boards. I have followed
the instyructions exactly. How can I unsubscribe? I travel for a living and
just don't need the extra stuff in my Email box.

his wife,
Loana (RUDD) DENSMORE, b. July 1845 VT; d. bet. 1900-1910

Their children (surely someone's grandparent?):
John Paul, Jr., b. 1865, MI; d. _______
Anna, b. 1868 MI; d. _________
Paul Smith Densmore, b. 6 July 1869; desperately looking for
his death date!
Hattie, b. 1877; d. ________; m. Palmer Whitcomb, 23 Dec
1896
Ray, b. March 1879, d. _________
Nellie, b. January 1882, d. ________
These dates came from 1880 (BentonTwp) and 1900 (Eaton
Rapids) census records - I've tried every angle possible - I
would really appreciate help in finding one of their
grandchildren.
Thank you!

Hi!
Would someone please send me that URL where you can compute
the person's birth date based on date of death and age at
death (years/month/days).
Thanks so much!

Hi All,
I am looking for information on PETTEE's in general who moved to MI in the late
1700's and early 1800's. I know some of my relatives did, just can't find out which
ones.
Of particular interest is George P. PETTEE, wifes name Margaret, who lived in
Marquette. They had a son named Prentice. These folks were still alive in the
1960's and were relatives. Sorry, I don't know anymore than that.
Thanks,
Jack Pettee

Looking for the parents of John and Mary (POOLE) SMITH of Leicester, England who immigrated with family in 1827 to Geneva, NY via the port of Philadelphia, PA. My family then ventured to Michigan as Pioneer Settlers.
My John SMITH lived to be over 104 years of age!:
b.1-24-1772 in Leicester (3rd-gen. Blacksmith by trade).
d.12-18-1876 in Philadelphia; buried in Geneva, NY.
John married Mary POOLE of Lutterworth, Eng. (b.abt.1780) on 6-23-1801 at St. Mary de Castro in Leicester, Eng. Their 15 children were born in Leicester and as a family immigrated to settle in Geneva, NY at the encouragement of relatives already there. John established a Blacksmith Shoppe in Geneva that remained in the family for at least two more generations. I descend from their 8th child, William W.
My William W. SMITH (1815-1904) married Rebecca WOODEN of Waterloo, NY (1821-1892) on 1-10-1843 in Geneva, NY. William and Rebecca immigrated via the Erie Canal to Michigan and became Pioneer Settlers in Shiawassee Co. in 1850. Four more generations of SMITHs (of which I descend directly) farmed Wm.& Rebecca's 210-acre Burns Twp., Shiawassee Co. settlement as a successful dairy farm until WW-2. Ironically, this dairy farm is still in operation today (owned by only the second family) on the same land settled by Wm.& Rebecca 150 years ago!

I hope someone can help me.
I need information on how adoptions and/or giving up a
child were done in 1887, especially pertaining to the
type of information that would have been put on legal
documents such as Birth or death certificates. This
would be in the Dearborn/Detroit area.
I also need the names of some orphanages and/or boys
homes in that area.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Cindy
