Ashley - couldn't email you directly - came back undeliverable so I am posting on the list.
I don't really have any additional info on the Zeiglers but would be happy to give a call to anyone who might be interested in this family. Just send the number when you get a chance.

Hi, where did you find that on the school souvenir? My in-laws are ROOT
noticed 3 on that list, want to check it out if possible, this could be the
siblings of husbands grandfather, Jackie Root
I am looking for descendants of the above surnames. These were all my great
aunts names. I didn't even know they existed until a few months ago. They
were my grandmother's sisters. All were born and were probably married in or
near Hunnewell, Sumner County, Kansas.
The married names were taken from a probate of my Great Grandfather William
O. Bell, died 1926 in Sumner County, KS.
My great grandmother was Ester E. BURDICK BELL.
FANNIE (Bell) HOLSTIN OR HOLSTIEN b. 1890 married ??
HOLSTIEN/HOLSTIN
ANNA M. (Bell) BRAZIER b. April 1885 married ?? BRAZIER
NINA SERINA (Bell) BOYER b. 1893, married RUBEN HENRY BOYER
August 8, 1914
NETTIE (Bell) BATES b. April 1894 married John Bates about 1914. Had a
daughter MARGARETTE BATES b. about 1915?
If anyone knows of any of the descendants of these families, please
contact me.
Appreciate any help in finding them.

I am posting this to a number of lists - sorry if you are reading this for the 3 or 4th times ;-)
I am trying to find the family of Samuel LEHMAN and Nettie EALY. This is not a family that I am researching, I am just trying to help a friend who has boxes of pictures, marriage certificates, social security cards and guardianship papers for the LEHMAN and EALY families. Samuel LEHMAN married Nettie EALY in Tustin,Osceola County, MI on 9th SEPT 1915. Samuels was at that time a resident of Omer Michigan. He was born in Tustin in 1876 to Samuel LEHMAN and Catherine ZEIGLER. Samuel died in 1969 at the age of 94, at the home of his son Amos Lehman who lived in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin. Site Updates
Databases on Michigan Family History Network are growing steadily. Thanks to
all the researchers who
have been entering records.
Feb. 12, 2001 Deaths = 6,398 Births = 8,561 Total = 14,959 records!
Deaths can be searched at:
http://www.mifamilyhistory.org/mfhn_deaths/
Births can be searched at:

The Dibean Michigan Marriage database was updated in the first few days of
February.
Various web sites including MIGenWeb and ALHN besides MFHN host the pages
of these records.
The index to all the sites hosting the records is at:
http://www.mifamilyhistory.org/dibeanindex/dibean_county.html
There are more records coming that have been submitted by various people
and are being formatted to go onsite. Please check the MFHN site
periodicly to view what is new.

1902 Maps of Michigan
We are always searching for Michigan resources for you to use. I found a
wonderful atlas of the world that was published in 1902 and have put the
Michigan map on the site.
This was from a pocket sized book so does not contain county lines but
many Michigan towns and the road system as it was then. There are various
formats to download to your computer.
http://www.mifamilyhistory.org/mfhn_maps/default.htm
I do have another map that was published about the same time and has
county lines. This will be going on site by county over time.
Thanks for reading. The Michigan Family History Network Newsletter is a free

1860, IN HALF DAY, OGLE, ILL. 3 HAS EDITH LILLIAN GLEASON BORN JULY 26, 1876,

Hi Everyone,
I am new to this list. I am looking for a Lambourne family.
Thomas William Lambourne & his wife Caroline Eliza (Bartholomew) & their kids Thomas, Florence Sidney & Emma Frances.
The family came from London, England & migrated to Detriot, Michigan in the late 1800's or early 1900's. I would love to hear from anyone that might be connected to this family in any way or knows something about this family.
Would someone have a census for Detriot, Michigan for the late 1800's or early 1900's that might have this family on it.
Regards
Jacqui Cock
I just had a potentially significant find and wonder if anyone can
take me the next step.
I ran a search on the Ancestry.com Michigan Marriages 1851-1900 and
unexpectedly came up with what, I think, are my people.
The database provided LDS Film #1377620-1377622 as the original
documents. I get the impression that these are index films rather
than the actual records. I know that, for Ontario records, a look-up
is not too difficult when the date is known. If that is true, in
Michigan as well, I'd really appreciate someone (SKS as they say on
the English lists) doing it for me.
Details are:
Palmer, Nathaniel N.
Bloom, Charlotte M.
6 Oct 1853
Wayne County, Michigan
If things are more complicated, I could sure use some help in ordering
the proper film to do the look-up myself.
Thanks,
Ron

I'm trying to find some information on Goodar, Mi.

there. I had been told my father was from Dunbar, now
i'm told Goodar. He would never discuss his family so
it makes starting on his side a little rough.
Thank You,

Bruce and all,
I have had some trouble like that with Georgia and especially SC
records. I did a search on Google and brought up tons of records. Google
allows for you to search within results so you can narrow the search
when you need to without doing it all over. Hope it works for you.

Larry:
Thanks for the response, Larry. Worth a try, anyway, huh? Well, I have Jesse
Nelson Martin's death certificate, and it states that "yes" he was born in
Michigan. Jesse is the son of a Philip Martin who also lived in Michigan.
That's as far as I'm getting on my Martins....and Michigan family. I did
find a Martin family, on a Michigan Census,(1870-Houghton) however they'd
come from Cornwall, England and were Copper Miners. I found a family with a
Philip Martin and a Philip Martin Jr. who lived in Houghton County,MI. Also
a few other Philip Martin's in different County's on that 1870 census. The
only speculations that I have are that from this 1870 census, the Philip
Martin Jr, who was aged 18 yrs at the time of census, (and had been born in
Cornwall England)-maybe married the woman listed as Jesse's mother, (Ellen
Andreus) and they had Jesse around 1875. That would have been after the 1870
Census, and would have been enough time for Philip Martin Jr. to have
married and started a family of his own. However, I have no sisters and
brothers listed for Jesse. I know the family lived in Muskegon also. Jesse's
marraige certificate lists him as marrying Lena Dahl in 1900's and they had
two children in Muskegon, My grandfather Milo and his sister, Pearl. Other
than that....My Martin's are a roadblock for me. Thanks for your response
though!!!

I would like to 'second' the request for a birth index of Michigan to
Sally's. I have several members of my family, who were supposedly born in
Michigan. One, I sent away to the county where I thought he was born, and
got an answer back that 'nothing was found'. My Martin family is from
Michigan, and have found some tid-bits here and there about them, but need
more information from Michigan about them. Wish there was a birth index or
something! I am running into the same difficulties as Sally here, and wish
there was some way to find my family. Mine are from Muskegon, but I believe
they were in other parts of Michigan as well.
I'm with you Sally! Double the request - ME TOO !!! :)

Subject: [MIGEN-L] Birth Record Query
Does anybody on this list have access to a birth index for all of MI? I'm
trying to get a birth certificate for my grandmother, Mable Eva WEEKS
BOLSTER, who was b. 21 Dec 1889. I always thought she was b. in Ingham Co.,
MI -- she lived her whole life in Aurelius TWP and Lansing, and is buried in
the North Aurelius Cemetery -- but the Ingham Co. Clerk's office says they
have no birth document for her.
I'd like to check to see if there is a birth document registered for her at
the state level before I send off a check for a certified copy. However, if
that's not possible, does anyone have the address I would use to get a birth
record from the State of MI?
Thank you.

Hi,
If you found her on the SSDI why not ask the SSDI to print off the letter
to the Soc.Sec. Adm and get the SS5? That little form can give you parents
names, places of birth (one of my clients got the name of the town in France
where his great grandfather was born), places of employment. Seems to me
alot of people overlook this great source of information. Its worth the $7
TRUST ME!
