Hi reseachers,
I need to know if there is any good software for Macintosh computers.
I've always used Macs and have an old version of Ultimate Family Tree and
liked the features, but have always had problems such as it losing files and
not being able to get technical support from the company. For a while they
offered an upgrade called Ultimate Family Tree "Platinum" for Macintosh, but
it's no longer offered and as usual the Tech Support is not helpful at all.
I've surfed around a bit and can't seem to find anything in Mac versions
anywhere. Does anybody out there use Macs? Any help would be appreciated.

I would be very careful bidding on this directory. Not going to slander
anyone here, that's not my style but look at what you are getting very well
before you hit the bid button.

I have been trying to find birthplace in Prussia of gg grandfather
Wilseck for some time. The surname spelling was changed from the
original so have hit the brickwall. Have reseached almost a dozen
different spellings with no luck. I don't believe he was ever in
Michigan. Have traced him 1871, MN>TX>WY. As there are more Wilsecks in
Michigan than any other state am hopeful perhaps a Michigan WIlseck can
shed some light.
Thanks, Suz
I am looking for the following couple on either the 1890 or the 1900 census
for Bay City, Bay County, Michigan. The earliest I have been able to place
them in Bay City is 1894, and it is unknown exactly when Wright migrated to
the states. I'm hoping a census return will answer some questions.

Hello!!
I am hoping that someone on the list will be able to help me locate some
information for me on a HOMER SASSER born March 14, 1914 in Jay
County, Indiana and died August 15, 2000 in Kalkaska, Michigan
(Kalkaska County). I am trying to locate an obituary on him or obtain
a death certificate. I am trying to find out who his parents are, who
he married, and any children if known. I am wondering if their is any
other SASSER listed in the phone book in the county. Any help would be
greatly appreciated. I am at a brick wall on him.
Mike
According to the Social Security Death Index, a Bertha McNULTY died in
Lapeer, MI in March 1981. Her date of birth matches a great-aunt of mine
who was born in Kingston, PA on 28 Aug 1913. Her full name was Alberta
Romayne JOHN. We believe she married a Thomas McNulty, but have nothing
concrete to confirm that.
Is there anyone on the list who will be visiting an Archives in the near
future and can scan local papers for her obit? I will be delighted to pay
for your time and the photocopying and postage!
Unfortunately, I will have to unsub____e on January 10th for medical
reasons. If someone can find her obit, please send it to me at the address
below and I will reimburse you.
Thank you!

Searching for DAUGHTON, DAVIES, JOHN and ROBERTS (Dad's Side) and BLAKE,
SCHROEDER, HELLMEYER and KOENIG (Mom's Side)
Hello List-
I am new to MIGEN-L, but not to rootsweb. I am trying to verify the last name of my grandmother as I have been unable to determine who her father was (very frustrating...). My information is: Ardnia Mae LABOUNTY b. 06JUN1887 Brighton, Lenawee Co., MI, m. Frank (Francis) Augustus OLMSTEAD of Wellsville, MI on 18FEB1906 in Adrian, Lenawee Co., MI. Her parents were possibly Frederick LABOUNTY b. 1860 Brighton, Lenawee Co., MI and Jennie WINSLEY b. 08NOV1866 Dundee, Monroe, MI. I also have as a possibility Frederick LOWELL b. 11DEC1854 Parma, MI as her father. I also have as a possibility Jennie WINSLOW b. 18FEB1853 Brighton, Lenawee, MI as her mother. I am SO confused!
Frank OLMSTEAD was the son of Edwin OLMSTEAD of Washtenaw Co., MI and Alzina Marcella PIPER of Palmyra, Lenawee Co., MI. Alzina reportedly d. at the "Olmstead Home" in Palmyra on 03DEC1916. Edwin was blind and disabled when she d., and some friends of his helped him apply for some type of assistance. He d. 31OCT1923 and is buried in Palmyra, MI. Alzina is buried in Weston, Lenawee Co., MI.
The story about Frederick LABOUNTY is that he was from a French family who were devout Catholic. Not sure if they lived in France or Canada at the time. Frederick and Jennie got m. without his family's permission, and he was forced to annul the marriage and return to France because Jennie was not Catholic. I don't know if this is true, or just a story made up to cover an illegitimate birth. I have not been able to find any history on Jennie WINSLEY/WINSLOW or any record of marriage or additional children. Ardnia was raised by Jennie's parents. I got the geneological data from different postings online, but have not been able to verify any of it, including if LABOUNTY was my grandmother's true last name or one she assumed.
If anyone can help me with this puzzle, I would be very grateful. Thanks for reading all of this, and Happy New Year! Lynda
