Hi Cindy,
According to the 1895 atlas I have on line it is or was in Shaiwassee

I am researching three WEEKS brothers whose ancestors were originally from Fairfield
Co., CT, but who relocated to Monroe Co., NY between 1816-1819. The three brothers
all left NY and moved on to Leslie, Ingham Co., MI in the early 1843-1844.
I'm descended from the eldest of the three brothers and have information on him; but I
have almost nothing on the two younger brothers. I'd like to learn more about them --
and find some new relatives in the process!
Their father was Benjamin WEEKS (b. 13 Jan 1795, Norwalk, Fairfield Co., CT; d. 10 Dec
1872, Webster, Monroe Co., NY) and their mother was Maria WHITNEY. Benjamin & Maria
m. 21 Jan 1816, Wilton, Fairfield Co., CT.
Their children -- the list is incomplete -- all I have is the three brothers:
1. Stephen WEEKS -- my ancestor -- (b. 10 Jan 1820, Scipio, Monroe Co., NY; d.
_____,
Leslie, Ingham Co., MI), m. wife #1, Maria CLARK (b. ____; d. 1 Jul 1862,
Leslie, Ingham
Co., MI), on 26 Sep1843, Henrietta, Monroe Co., NY. Their children, all b.
in Leslie,
Ingham Co., MI:
1. Harriet "Hallie" Eliza Weeks (b. 30 Nov 1844; d. 29 Mar 1874,
Onondaga, Ingham
Co., MI), m. 31 May 1868, Ingham Co., MI, William MUDGE.
2. Walter Benjamin WEEKS (b. 17 May 1848; d. 14 Mar 1849, Leslie, Ingham
Co.,
MI)
3. Matilda Ann WEEKS (b. 10 Dec 1849), m. 2 Feb 1868, Ingham Co., MI,
Emery
WAUVLE of Aurelius, Ingham Co., MI.
4. Walter Whitney WEEKS (b. 4 Oct 1851; d. 11 Nov 1911, Lansing, Ingham
Co.,
MI), m. 30 Jun 1880, Ingham Co., MI, Sarah E. CHILDS.
5. Lydia Maria WEEKS (b. 11 Dec 1852), m. 23 Dec 1873, Leslie, Ingham
Co., MI,
Charles MILLER.
6. Isadore Angeline WEEKS (b. 28 Apr 1854)
7. Wilson Clark WEEKS (b. 9 Apr 1856; d. 21 May 1856, Leslie, Ingham
Co., MI)
8. Emma Rebecca WEEKS (b. 18 Sep 1858)
9. Amy Asenath WEEKS (b.12 Feb 1860; d. 5 Apr 1862, Leslie, Ingham Co.,
MI)
Stephen WEEKS m. wife #2, Laura Edwina REYNOLDS, 26 May 1865, Leslie,
Ingham
Co., MI. Their children, all b. in Leslie, Ingham Co., MI:
1. Alice Esther WEEKS (b. 21 Sep 1866)
2. Nettie Gertrude WEEKS (b. 21 Jun 1868)
3. Veran Luella WEEKS (b. 17 Dec 1869)
4. Adoniram Judson WEEKS (b. 18 Jan 1872)
5. Bertha Evangeline WEEKS (b. 30 Nov 1873; d. 4 Jan 1874, Leslie,
Ingham Co., MI)
2. William Henry WEEKS (b. 8 Aug 1821, Henrietta, Monroe Co., NY; d. _____), m.
wife
#1, Jane Ellen DUNNING (b. ____; d. 13 Mar 1862, Leslie, Ingham Co., MI) on
20 Mar
1850, Leslie, Ingham Co., MI. He m. wife #2, Mary Catherine DU BOIS, on 3
Aug
1862, Leslie, Ingham Co., MI.
3. George Washington WEEKS (b. 26 Nov 1828, Henrietta, Monroe Co., NY; d. ____),
m. Catherine Ann SMITH, 2 Nov 1853, Leslie, Ingham Co., MI. They may have
had
several children, but I only have information on one:
1. Ettie Amelia WEEKS (b. 26 Nov 1856, Leslie, Ingham Co., MI)
If anyone on the list has information on this particular WEEKS branch, I'd love to
hear from you.
Best Regards,
