I am interested in the Bevans and their relationship to William Miles of
Prince Georges
Co., MD
William Miles and William Bright were sureties for Blanford Beaven in Henry
Beaven/Bevan's probate in Prince George's Co. 6-9-1750. William Bright and
William Miles
were administrators of his probate also. Peregrine Mackeness is also owed
payment from
Henry Bevan's estate.
William Miles is the father of Margaret Miles Lovejoy Nevitt, mother of
my ancestor
William Miles Nevitt. Peregrine Mackeness is named as a next of Kin in a
probate record
of Margaret M.L. Nevitt. and all of these men are involved in the estate of
Henry
Bevan's. I was just wondering if there was some kinship between them. If
you or anyone
knows of any other connections between the Bevans. the Miles and/or Nevitts,
I'd
appreciate the information. This PG Miles family is proving elusive.

Susan I have had mystery on the Bevans 2 girls who went to
Harrison Co. KY
with or at the same time as Peter Rutledge about 1786. Peter Rutledge is who
I descend from and has created a lot of mystery.
In court records I found where gave "HIS CHEST" TO ONE OF THE TWO GIRLS AND
HE SIGNED THE WEDDING LICENSE FOR THE OTHER. ONE GIRL MARRIED A JACOBY AND
PETER SIGNED THE MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE.
There were a lot of Marylanders that went to KY about the same time and it
has been difficult to sort them all out.
Families that left MD about the same as Peter Rutledge and his wife "Maria ?"
did.
Talbot, Kelso, Rutledge, were the most prominent but there were others like
Bevans. If this fits any of the people you have be sure and let me know and I
will send you what I have.
