"Baltimore City Nineteenth-Century Photos" has been updated again with
a number of new contributions. Two really nice ones that you might
want to check out:
(1) Donna Stewart has submitted a large number of her McKenna photos
however one fascinating one is listed under "McKenna Grocery." It is
an 1873 storefront photo from John McKenna's Eutaw Street store. There
is a lot of detail in the display window. This is going to load
s-l-o-w-l-y because I have uploaded it in (probably much too) high
resolution.
(2) Cindy Bailey has submitted photocopies of photographs of portrait
paintings! The originals are probably from 1812-1820 and provide a
good presentation about dating images. Look under "Sadtler, Philipp
B."
I hope you enjoy these. Please pass on your comments, suggestions and
of course scans of your old Baltimore photos.
