Time: 8:45 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (hour lunch on own)
Cost: $30.00 per person (includes both sessions)
This course will help in the great adventure to search for your
ancestors. It will tell you how to collect information, how to record
information on pedigree charts and family group sheets, how to find and
use original published sources and how to write citations for those
sources. Learn to organize your research and the appropriate records to
search for births, marriages and deaths. We will also discuss probate,
land records, census records and immigration records and passenger
lists.
To register for the class send a check for $30.00 to Baltimore County
Genealogical Society along with your name, address and phone number.
The only other requirement is the desire to learn! Each person will
receive a booklet Instructions for Beginners in Genealogy by
National Genealogical Society. Light refreshments to be served at the
break.

Beginners to the advance genealogists are welcome. You will learn about
the history of your family in relationship to the events that happened
around them.
Elaine and Ken Zimmerman taught these classes before for the Society and
it has been well attended. Please register soon as you can. Due to
the size room the number of attendees will be limited.
