Do you folks ever share notes from your meetings with those of us who can't
get there? This one sounds especially interesting and I would love to know
what Mr. Dixon will be discussing.
I live in Chambersburg, PA now, but have ancestors from the northern part of
MD, near the Pennsylvania line. When I joined this list I was also starting
to research a possible "many greats grandmother", possibly from Charles Co.,
MD, who moved to PA in the 1700s. I still have not found if this lady is
mine!
I would be happy to send a check for the information from this meeting.

Mr. Michael Dixon will explore some fascinating tales tombstones whisper,
and discuss changing practices and customs of cemeteries in Maryland, at
the
Charles County Maryland Genealogical Society meeting Thursday, March 15th,
2007, at the Family History Research Center at the Church of the Latter Day
Satints, 4560 Padgett Road, White Plains at 7:00 PM.
There is no fee for this presentation funded by the Maryland Humanities
Council. Visitors are welcome.
