Cynthia,
I'm interested in many of the Surnames you are researching, so we must have
some family in common.... My list is Bell, Beall, Saunders, Cabbler, Causey,
Graves, Kelso, Keene, Hoover, Smith, Magruder, Briscoe, Covington, Howard,
Hawkins, Offutt, Dent, Bussey, Brooke, Claggett, Hollyday, Truman, Mackall,
Walker and Skinner.
Strangely, I don't have a lot of information on the Bell line which is the
one I started out trying to research. What I do have on the other lines has
been gleaned from research of others, as I'm not able to get out anymore,
therefore I can't guarantee it's accuracy.
I'd be share any information I have and hope you might fill in a lot of
blanks I have as well as to verify what I have.
If you are interested, please contact me.

Subject: [MDGEN] Roll call: PG County -- Waring
Researching the descendants of Sampson Waring. Sampson settled in
Calvert
County in 1643 (after being asked to leave Norfolk County, VA for his
religious beliefs -- that is Puritan). He emigrated from Shrewsbury,
Shropshire, England.
His son Basil Waring (1650-1662) had two sons: Marsham Waring and Basil
Waring II.
Marsham inherited Mount Pleasant (near Upper Marlboro) from his
grandfather Richard Marsham. Basil Waring II also moved to PG County and
married Martha Greenfield.
Branches of the family have migrated to Ohio, Kentucky and Mississippi.
