Hello friends in Maryland,
I am a German Hobby-Genealogist, living in Siegburg near Bonn, . . .
. . about a grandaunt:
FRIEDEL Marie, *(born) 30.08.1892 at Freiberg (today Pribor in Czech.)
oo (married) 18.01.1914 at Baltimore, USA
PIECZONKA Jan, *02.04.1879 at Mähr. Ostrau (today Ostrava in Czech.)
Halo Wolfgang,
There was a carpenter in Baltimore listed in the 1920 census
who almost matches your request. Namely:
Piezonki, John 40, bp. Poland ent. 1906
Piezonki, Mary 37, bp. Bohemia ent. 1913
" , Edward 14
" , John 11
" , Julia 10
" , Frank 8
" , Mary 5
" , Anthony 3+1/2
" , Catherine 1/12
All the children were born in Maryland. Mary's arrival year makes it appear she is
wife number two.
And she might have borne the last 3 children. If the census taker erred and wrote her age
37 instead of
27; or if Marie was born in 1882 instead of 1892, then this might be your relative. As
for, cutting wood
or cutting meat . . oh well
I will visit the archives sometime soon and will try to remember to check the Baltimore
phone listings
circa 1930 for you. Viel Glueck und schoene Gruss aus Kalifornian,
Clay Fox
