Carolyn,
Eldbrook Methodist Cemetery is on River Road which is just off of Wisconsin
Avenue in Northwest, Washington, D.C.
Yes, you are a relation. No doubt about it. Our Burrows enclave was on
Grant Road which is just of Wisconsin. William Tyson Burrows married Helen
Marshall Harry sometime in the 1880s and lived in a 14 room Victorian on
Grant their entire marriage. The house finally went out of the family back
in 1982 when the last older Burrows died. I wanted to live there but the
heating bill ran about $800 per month. Yikes!
Granddaddy Tyson had several brothers and sisters; I'll have to look them up
and send their names to you. I have a cousin, Olive Burrows Heskel, who has
been looking for Proverb for longer than I and finally gave up. You have no
idea what this means to me -- to finally find his family.
I grew up in Bethesda Chevy Chase in an area called Glenbrook Village which
is just off Jones Bridge Road and below the National Navy Medical Center.
Yes, I would like anything you have on Proverb and the Burriss and Trunnell
families. Also, please resend your first correspondence to me as I seem to
have lost it.
Thanks cousin,
Donna
