Joseph,
First of all, if your research is in Baltimore City, you might want to post
to that mail list, which may have more subscribers with info on Baltimore
City than this MD General list.
How did you check Trinity Cemetery records? Many of us have been trying to
get access to the Trinity records, but they have not usually been
cooperative. If you are just "walking the cemetery" as you say below, many
graves in most cemeteries have no markers. Many of Trinity's graves have
markers buried in trees and brush so thick that you can not walk to them.
If it exists, the death certificate is usually the easiest way to identify
the cemetery. Some of my German Lutherans are buried in Baltimore Cemetery.
So "guessing" that they are at Schwartz is a big guess. However, if you
want to go there, the following was posted to the Baltimore City list by
Michael Brill on June 4, 2001. Subject was "Schwartz Cemetery."
"Back in 1982 or so, I visited this cemetery (Schwartz) as my gggrandfather
and gggrandmother are buried there. The caretaker did, in fact, have the
record book for this cemetery and I was able to use it to copy the
information for the surnames that I was interested in. It is a small
cemetery so the records are easy to go through. As I recall, there was not a
lot of information other than location of grave, date of death and/or
burial, and an address. But not everyone has a tombstone so you can find
other burials not readily obvious by looking only at the markers."
Good luck. If you have seen records on Trinity, please let us know.
John

Greetings All.
I was wondering if anyone has access, or can help me get access to the
records of the Schwartz Cemetery. Pretty much my whole family was Lutheran
and lived in Canton/Highlandtown and I can't find several of my relatives
in
Trinity Lutheran & Mount Carmel and Oak Lawn Cemeteries. I am
guessing
they
are in Schwartz's Cemetery and would like to save myself a trip
walking
the
cemetery the hard way.
