I think the Delaware River was originally called the South River.

South River runs, I believe, through Anne Arundel County.

Thanks for the MD-Archives census link!
Trying to link my Timothy Carrow to family.....I find Evan
Cariow/Carew/Caran in Lois Green Carr's career files and he says he
worked for a Robert Proctor in his Ordinary at the head of the South
River in 1673(I think) 1673-1684 Henry Carew priest in St Marys
1674-79.(also Lois Carr) Timothy is in St Clements witnessing a will
in 1683 but found in Kent
County
DE in 1680 and lives and dies there.1680-1700 Are these three guys
who
are literate, officeholding and presumably Irish close enough
geographically to be related at this time?you are all teh MD experts!
I grew up in a little South Jersey town across the River from DE where
the Carrows ended up.
And what would I be calling this area in MD..South River Hundred?
Thanks
KAthy CArrow Ingram
