Subject: Re: [MDGEN] Burial Sites
I think there is a misunderstanding about my request
to you. I am under the
inpression that you had offered to do lookups in the
book of Monocacy
Cemetery in Beallsville, Montgomery County....Thank
you for your
reply.........Homer Young
Homer:
Sorry - it was just such a vague request and I didn't
know anyone had volunteered to do look-up's in Betty
Frain's book of Monocacy Cemetery. I get probably 10
or 15 queries like that every week from people who are
so vague re: MD cemeteries that it really makes me
wonder if people who live elsewhere think MD is the
size of a penny and we all know where every cemetery
is and who is buried there! Also, I didn't know
someone was doing look-up's at Monocacy so it seemed
really vague to me.
There is an index of the surnames of people buried at
Monocacy from the Frain book at:
http://www.rootsweb.com/~cemetery/maryland/montgomy.html
click on the 2nd listing for the cemetery with Betty
Frain's name there. And yes, there are "Young's";
however, no details.
Who is doing the look-up's in the book and are they
willing to be listec on the Tombstone Page?
