Sybil,
This list is ok to post questions, but it is not as active as some others,
so you're likely to get fewer people seeing your post and responding.
A more active statewide list is the MD-L list. There is an active Baltimore
City list (MD-Baltimore City-L) and an active Frederick County list
(MDFREDER-L).
You haven't said exactly what you are looking for. I searched the Ancestry
census indexes for 1910, 1920 and 1930. I found no Glenn or Thomas Fitze
that seems to match your query. Was he born after 1930? I found a Cora M.
Fitz, age 25, as a boarder in Walkersville, Frederick County in 1930. She
could match a 5-yr old Cora Fitz in the 1910 Frederick County Census,
daughter of George Fitz(age 68, pretty old and likely not in later censuses)
and Bertha, age 29. There were 4 other young kids. The only one of that
family I felt I likely identified in 1920 was 17-year old Daniel M. Fitze,
living as a single boarder in Baltimore City in 1920.
The MD State Archives has a death certificate for a George Fitz, age 72, who
died in Frederick County on April 7, 1913. Most likely the family broke up
and/or Bertha remarried after that.
I don't know if any of this is useful, but you might post to one of the
other lists with any more specific information. I do not subscribe to the
Frederick County list, so I won't see it if you only post there.
John
