Hi Carrie,
I live in Murrieta, really close to you.
I'd probably have it somewhere around that area.
Right now I'm trying to see how many people are interested, and I'll go from
there.
Any suggestions I'm open to them.

I live on the Eastern Shore of MD, (East of the Chesapeake Bay as opposed to
the Western Shore..yep....West of the Chesapeake Bay) an area settled around
1632 There are still many Wilsons in this area. I have not heard of the
Hyland name. Perhaps you should try Queen Anne's County, Kent County and Talbot
County Maryland and perhaps Caroline Co. It is necessary to search these four
counties because they were all "created out of each other" and depending on
the dates it is possible to have lived in the same spot all your life and show
up in three counties, the State of MD and the State of Delaware! Have you
tried www.Familysearch.com?

There is a William Wilson in Calvert County born about 1680 who had a
son John in 1805. It's feasible that John also had a son and named him
after his father. They are from Christ Church parish registers in
Calvert County, MD> Don't know if it's helpful.
However, with the additional information, the majority of Hyland

Hi,
I just learned the name of my g*grandfather.
William R. WILSON born 1845 in Maryland died 1913 in Wilmington, Del (?).
wife was Adalade HYLAND born 1850 in Maryland.
I've tried to find them in census data via ancestry.com but no luck.
Any pointers as to where to best search for them?
Also, is HYLAND a common name in that time/place?
Thanks for any info!

There is a Moxley reunion the Sunday after Labor day in Damaracus. I have
been on this list for 6 years and this is the first time that I have seen one
reseraching the Moxley name. Can you tell me about your Moxley? I am a
descendant of Nehemiah Moxley.
Hi Jane, It would surprise me if you have all those MD names we do not share
any, and now I see we do! Beall is collateral to my Pumphrey, and Tydings is
in my daughter-in-law's ancestry. Turner is the only one I see that is a
direct ancestral line of mine. John Turner Jr. married Elizabeth Brashear,
dau of Samuel Brashear and Ann Jones. John was born in 1696 and Elizabeth in
1699.
I would be happy to correspond with you on these families. If you have other
MD names, you might be interested in MY MD list of surnames!

If you have read my posting about going to reunions, then you know I try to
get to as many as I can. The reunion season is starting and I know of a
Shipley and a Hawkins-Claggett reunion.
Looking at my surnames below which represent all my and Chip’s directs we
know of.
If you know of a reunion related to these families regardless of where it
is, please let me and the lists know.
I am especially looking for a Watkins reunion I heard of that takes place
each May or June in Maryland. Does anyone know when this is and how I can
contact them.

I just thought I would tell everyone how the reunion went.
We had 70 people attend and most were new people. Some of the regular
couldn’t come this year but this still made for a record.
Many new Norwood connections were made and many of these Norwood’s came with
pictures and detailed information.
The chart we had was 30 feet long and took 4 tables to lay it out. This
only represented 1 child of Belt Norwood’s 13 children, Thomas M. Norwood.
We determined that it would take 12 of these charts (each thirty feet long)
to list everyone from Capt John Norwood on. Now that we have added so many
new branches it may take more.
Next year we will have more charts. Kitty needs to get all the data entered
and sent to me and I will start getting them created and printed.
What made this reunion very special to me was that Norman Lilly came. As it
turned out, he is a Watkins researcher primarily and we are second cousins.
He accidentally left one of his books of information and it was my pleasure
to take it to him on the next Saturday. He has done a wonder job of
untangling the many errors and problems in the currently published Watkins
books. I am so glad he gave up a Sunday and came. We will be in contact
very often now.
I always tell people to attend reunions of families that have married
heavily into your family. I have done this to three different reunions and
have found many cousins closer in relations than the individual for whom the
reunion is. My 6th great-grandmother is a Norwood but Norman and I are much
closer.
We decided that from now on the Norwood reunion would be on the LAST SUNDAY
OF APRIL. Next year that makes it April 24, 2005. Put it on your calendar
NOW. Many people told us they could have come if they had had more notice.
NOW THIS IS NOTICE.
Please come next year. Who knows we may get to meet a second cousin you
were not expecting. Thanks Norman.

The Daniel, Rowe, Windsor graves in Wenona, Somerset Co., Maryland, have
the following information on them:
Travers DANIEL - Born January 7, 178? (Death date was covered by weeds in
my photo.)
David W. DANIEL - Died Sept. 26, 1831 ... In the 78th year of his age
Gabraella ROWE - Feb. 27, 1854 - Sept. 30, 1868
Rebecca WINDSOR, Died 1849
There were some other headstones and graves but they were partially hidden
in underbrush or laying on the ground and we did not get to see what names
were on these. We were interested in Rebecca WINDSOR's grave only at that
time as we are trying to find if she may be related to our family.
I have photos of the above graves which I can send to anyone who is
interested. Contact me off list at this <mailto:bphart@intercom.net>address.
