It's been a while since I posted and I've found some
information, however, I'm looking for burial of Robert
Foard/Ford who died in MD July 1834 probably around
the Long Green area in Baltimore Co., MD. His wife
Cassandra (Lancaster) Foard died March 16, 1865 in
Long Green, Baltimore Co., MD. I believe they are
buried at Waugh United Methodist Church Cemetery
located on Long Green Pike in Baltimore Co. Church
records burned and there are no tombstones for either
of them at this cemetery. One son Benjamin Lancaster
who died 28 April 1908 is buried there along with his
2 spouses.
According to records there are 4 FOARD graves together
that were bought by C Foard. Could this my Cassandra?
Maybe they were purchased when Robert died.
Any one with any connections to any Foards/Fords up
that way?
Cheryl

Woops -- I took a brief look at your message and saw
the 1857 date -- but since he died in 1916 there
definitely should be a death certificate on file at
MSA.

First check Enoch Pratt Library for an obituary for
Sameul Beidler and see if it lists a burial site.
http://www.pratt.lib.md.us/ They will do look-up's for
you although I don't know what the time-frame is for
which they have obits.
Next consider acquiring the death certificate from MD
Archives.
http://www.mdarchives.state.md.us/msa/refserv/html/deathhis.html
Bear in mind that for 1857 there might not have been a
death certificate, I don't think it was required at
that time.
Next, see if you friend knows where his grandparents
lived and that might help narrow down the area and you
can see what cemeteries are in the neighborhood, also
if they were of a particular religious affiliation
that would help also.
There is no one place, listing, etc. of all burials in
the state; alas unless someone has found one recently,
I don't think there is even a listing of all the
cemeteries in the state!
Also, you might see if the MSA has a will filed for
him.

Would someone please help me. A friend in our church is 89 years old. He said he didn't know where his grandfather was
buried. He said he 'thought' he died in Baltimore, Md. His name was Samuel Beidler, and he has a birth date for him 18 Feb
1857 and death date of August 1916. Samuel Beidler did remarry after the death of his first wife, and his 2nd wife's name
was Lula Woodrow. Lula may be buried where he is buried.
I'm in Shen. Valley of Va. and do not have access to the Md. records.
Thank you so much.

Hello All,
I am hoping you may have some ideas on this problem.
I am researching Benjamin Price. There are so many I am having to sift thru
them. My Ben was born in 1853. I have have his marriage that says he was from
Kent Co. Md. dated 1878. He was living in Delaware in 1880 when his first
child was born. I have been to the gravesite( Riverview Cem.) so I am
reasonably sure these dates are correct and I have confirmation on the first
childs dob.
I am trying to find his parents. I thought I got a break when I saw the 1860
census for Wilm. De that had A Benjamin age 8 in the HH. That gave a
birthdate of 1852 . I then saw the 1870 census for Cecilton,Md that listed a
Ben Price age 16 birthday of 1854. I have had family members tell me that
they were from Cecil and also Queen Anne Co. No one is really sure.
I spent Saturday in Elkton looking thru the Cecil Whig on micro film hoping
to find a wedding announcement that would mention family members so I could
connect the people. I pretty sure one of them is correct but I don't know
what to look for to figure out which family he belongs to. And then there
that possibility he may be someplace else. I am hoping someone has some
ideas.
Thankyou
Sharon
Thanks for the guidance from so many nice people. Much appreciated

Subject: ? on transport in 1600's &age for listin as adult
Duane, Mayann, Susan and Everyone,

This is a general question.
One of my ancestors is listed as follows:
Sweatnam, Richard Immigrated 1677 of St. Mary's Co.
, Mary Transported 1677 wife of Richard
,John Transported 1677 son of Richard
Looking for some help from anyone with more experience than I have with such
references.
Can I infer from the fact that John is listed as "John transported 1677 son
of Richard" that John was a minor at the time? Or, could he have been an
adult but, having been transported by his father, he was listed as "son of
Richard" rather than a separate listing as John Sweatnam, age "whatever"?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Bruce

Jacqui,
Go to their website. You can request an obit lookup by email. Give them the
name and date of death. Include your mailing address and they will send you a
copy if they find it.
