Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb
Looking for a birthdate and town on William James DeVaughn, b.1870 or so in
Md. Family came from Wales to Brittany, Fr. then to the U.S. Sorry I don't
have more information.

Rootsweb queries have an attachment for their queries so
you can attach information. This then goes to the Rootsweb
list for that area. So their are some valid attachments.
I know I have used this for pictures etc.

I'm looking for information regarding the ancestors of Samuel Nathan RISTON
(1871-1954). He was from Maryland, orphaned and spent most of his adult life
in Baltimore. In 1901 he married Katherine Rose Gosman of NJ and they had
five children: Clarence (b. 1902), Charles (b. 1905), Walter (b. 1910),
Samuel Earl (b. 1912) and Velma (b. ?). His mother's maiden name may have
been SINCLAIR, but this has not be established.
Any help would be appreciated.

Thomas and John Long served in the Continental Army. They actually crossed the Delaware River with Washington when he made the Christmas Eve attack on the Hessians at Trenton. Their father's name was Thomas Long of Yorkshire England and their mother was Martha Thatcher of Chester Co., PA. I can't locate where this family lived but believe it is in MD.
