On the 1840 census in Baltimore, there is a John A. and a Samuel Spalding listed with a female in their household aged 5-10. Does anyone know anything about these men and what the names of their children were? Thank you.
Also, does anyone own the CD titled "Maryland Settlers & Soldiers 1700's-1800's"? Thank you!

There is something new at the
BitsofBlueandGray.com website!! I'm working on getting the names of all
the Delaware Civil War Soldiers up on the site. Right now Aaron to Chandler
is available. I'm also adding where the soldiers are buried when I know
where they are. Other information may be added at some point in the future.
If you have a DE Civil War Soldier and you have his place of burial, please
let me know and I will add it.
Thanks again for putting up with my multiple postings.

May a sweet, kind angel of genealogy do a look-up for me??
I am trying to located Joseph Cobourn and Lydia Keyser Cobourn. I have them
both listed as being born in 1776...but am unsure of Joseph s parents. Is
there any Cobourns listed in any censuses with children around the 1776 time
frame?
Also, is there an Andrew Keyser listed in any of these censuses as well
around 1776. This would be Lydia s father. (Sorry about the spaces in
between the apostrophe s, my apostrophe button isn t working.)
Thank you soo much in advance,

The Washington Post began publishing in 1877, previous
DC area newspapers were the News and the Star: both
long gone now. The Washington Times is a new
publication, can't give a date but 20 years or less.
The Gazette newspapers have been around since 1959.
The Journal Newspapers are another
neighborhood-tailored publication and I'm not sure
when they began.
The Post is probably the only newspaper around that
was being published in 1944 that is still in
publication [that publishes obituaries].
Another alternative is to check out funeral homes in
the Bethesda area and see if any of them have records
that would be helpful.

Hi Listers, I am new here. I have started branching out in my quest
fro my 4xgreat grandfather, Benjamin DARBY. Apparenty he
landed in Rhode Island (from England) at age 16 (1760). I found a
Benjamin Darby in 1760 in Prince Georges Parish, MD on
Ancestry.com. The database is "MD Early Census Index". I can
find no further info on that database in their list of databases so I
started looking online at the Census info available. I can find no
1760 census listed. Can anyone tell me where I might look?
Thanks,

available on microfilm. I am not sure when the post started. Hopefully
someone on list cam give you more newspapers in that time frame

Hello
Would anyone happen to have access to the "The Complete Book of Emigrants
1607--1776", who would be willing to do a look up for me?
I am looking for Thomas CORNTHWAIT{E} from Lancaster, England about 1735, so
far I found him in Bucks County, PA. in that year. He was a Quaker. Thank you
for your consideration, it is appreciated.
Sincerely, Helen
