Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb
This one may be over my head.
But here's a start:
Download the appropriate version of Adobe Reader and then see if you
can open the pdf documents that Lou's notes are in.
Specifically what kind of attachments are you trying to open? Word
documents? Excel spreadsheets? PDF documents? Do you have problem
opening links to web pages?
There is a mailing list for Mac users. It's very inactive but I think
there are still a couple of people on it who can help. MAC(a)rootsweb.com
- do you know how to subscribe and use mailing lists?
You could try going down in person and talking to someone at the store
where you bought the machine. You could befriend a school librarian.
You could join dBug and use the mentor group or go to the sessions they
put on - I think the Saturday cafe is an open forum - every Mac geek in
town belongs and they are very helpful.
