Does your ISP offer anything?
I'm on EarthLink and they offer the Spaminator through
BrightMail. I think that you can sign up for
BrightMail as an individual but there would probably be
Even with the Spaminator, my spam has increased in
recent months to the highest levels ever. I download my
mail and just sit there and pick out the spam subjects
and delete them in groups. I am so sick of that
African thing! I read that the increase is a national
trend. As the technology advances, the spammer has
access to programs which can send millions of messages
daily. I saw an article about a spammer who uses
foreign remailers to avoid the US spam laws. He

will be rejected
and will be sent back to the sender. Spammers are very ingenious people and
generally know how to get around any barriers that are set up to stop them.
way to stop them is to just DO NOT OPEN any mail that you do not recognize.
spammers build a WebBug into their SPAM messages that sends them a signal
open a SPAM message. When that occurs, the Spammers then know that they have
a legitimate e-mail address and will then flood that address with much more
There is a program named SpamFire (www.matterform.com) that is available for
$29.00 from matterform.com. That software claims to have the ability to
the Spammer's WebBug. Go to www.matterform.com and you can get more infor
