Hello Virginia and Joe;. . . . . . there are several members recovering
from family medical emergencies and
no doubt everyone was busy over the festive season. I put out an e-mail
stating I would be asking the different
Branch Captains for a list of their missing limbs. I wasn't going to ask
them till after February but I just finished the
rough draft of the Spousal Marriage Index ( First Rough Draft) and will this
next week put out the formal request.
Several have responded privately already. Will be concentrating on DNA
participants connecting between 5-7 gen.
This will give me time to plan my attack as I prepare for a visit to Salt
Lake City with Dianne, whom you met at the
annual meeting last summer. For Xmas they bought Grandpa Bob a FT-DNA
37Marker and are going to their own
clan reunion in SLC in June and I have been invited along.
Father Time has not been kind in 2009, my condolences to Connie and Branch
44 (Bob's Family).

Subject: [LATTA] Bill Latta Bellevue WA Branch #44
Hi, I found the obituary for Bill Latta, who lived fairly close to
I was very sorry to hear of Bill's death. Though not closely related, I
Bill several times when he was part of our Latta Genealogy Society
that met to plan how we could become a recognized nonprofit organization.
saw Bill again when he came with his son Scott to our annual Latta
Society meeting here at my home in Bellevue. We all enjoyed his genial
spirit, his participation and support. I will miss Bill even though our
acquaintance was brief. He was part of the "West Seattle Lattas" that I
existed from the time I was growing up in Seattle. I appreciate knowing
his family will carry his memory in their hearts.
His obituary is in the Seattle Times today. Bill was part of branch 44.
If you'd like to see his obituary, this is the link:
There is very little activity on our rootsweb list these days. Do you
anyone with questions? Kathy is doing a very good job of answering
as did her father, Alex, for so many years.
Let's try to communicate a bit more???
