TIGARD, OR - Brooks Roy Lapp, 92, died April 19, 2011 in Tigard, OR of heart failure.
He was the husband of the late Phyllis A. (Park) Lapp, who died in 2002. Born in Corning, NY on August 10, 1918, he was the son of Roy and Winifred (Reynolds) Lapp.
He graduated from Northside High School and the University of Michigan with an architectural engineering degree. Immediately after graduation he was called to war and worked for the American Bridge Com-pany in Pittsburgh for the duration.
Mr. Lapp is survived by Muriel (Lapp) Woolley of Lake Oswego, OR and Brooks and Madeline Lapp of Uxbridge, MA, 4 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Also surviving is his brother, Martin F. Lapp of Atwater, CA.
A sister, Sylvia Richards predeceased him.
After a long and distinguished career as Superintendent of the Bath Gas, Electric, and Water System, he retired in 1974, and then participated in the development of building a 111-lot subdivision of new homes in Bath. He was an active gardener who was always busy with projects which involved his creative side, perhaps inherited from a musical mother, and a grand and great-grandmother who were both artists.
He will be missed by many who knew him as a leader, innovator and family man. He kept his sense of humor to the very end
