Thank you for responding to my inquiry.
I am looking for descendents of and Andre Adam b, 1812 est.
Andre's descendents show up in Lafitte/Barataria in the mid-late 1800's and
Louis, Francoise, Genevieve, Adam, Octave, Gustave, and Gustavie
Later descendents lived and currently live in the Belle Chasse area as well
as some in and around Gretna, Harvey, etc....
I was hoping that some of these folks had migrated to Plaquemine Parish in
the late 1800's / 1900's thereby making my search easier - if it rang a bell
with someone out there.
There is no telling how many Adam(s) family members are/were out there - it
being a fairly common name. I am finding it increasingly difficult to find
the family I'm looking for as opposed to the many others out there.
If any of the names above ring any bells with you, please let me know.
Again, many thanks,
I am a descendant of one Ludwig Adam (who changed his name to Louis
Adams) and who lived in Gretna (died 1886). He had one son, that I know of,
Ignatius, who died in 1960. Any possible connection? Marvin Russell
I've recently subscribed to this list in the hope of finding information on
the above families. I have found some in Jefferson, Lafourche and quite
possibly Plaquemine Parishes.
If anyone has information on any of these families, I would be happy to
provide additional information.
