Mine came from Thurman NY This was part of a land grant to Lanfears in RI.......You can find most of the info under Warren Co NY although it was once part of Albany co then Washington co. My great grandmother was Sarah Lanfear daughter of James and Cynthia.
There are many lanfears who settled in Thurman and Chestertown in the 1700's My line comes through Roland who came from RI
A stitch in time................Ruth Camp
I have checked my records here and the only reference I have to Zebulon is
from the 1850 census. I have abstracted the Vermont vital records to 1870 for
27 known variant spellings of the surname and I do not have any listing for

Thank you for joining the Lanphear / Lamfier / etc. list. We hope you will share your problems and findings regarding this family. You need only to join one spelling of the surname as messages are sent to all four I handle.
