Wondering if he could be connected to Lyndon, b. 1816. Any help that anyone

continue adding. My home page is

In my family's direct line to our emigrant ancestor George Lanphear
(b. c 1631, England) there is a connection to the Barber family from
Hopkinton R.I. and another to the Gavitt family of Westerly, RI. Both
the Barber family and the Gavitt appear to be connected (but not yet
proved conclusively) to George Soule, a 1620 Mayflower passenger. See
the line below.
Is anyone else out there aware of Mayflower connections, and do they extend
to the BARBER & GAVITT ladies who married into the Lanphear line?

2. Theodosius LANPHEAR, d. 1749, Westerly, RI

I am researching Lyndon M. Lanphear, born May,1816 in Vt--unknown parents,
married in NY and lived in 1850 in Cayuga Cty, Township of Ira . He soon
after moved to Dane Cty, WI and then to Adam Cty, WI. I have brick walled
there, with Lyndon. There are several clues I am trying to follow. There
was a Betsy Lanphear living with a Amy and Hiram Bentley in Dane cty close to
where he settled. I have reason to believe that Amy was Betsy's daughter.
Betsy was probably the widow of Squire Jonathan. Also in Adams cty at the
same time--1855 and later was an Alonzo, Silas H who was married to a
Patience B ( possibly Brown, Silas is possibly the son of William and Eliza
Minor. Also an Elijah, Isaih, Zebulon, Samuel. We cannot connect these
people, but feel as though there must be a connection somewhere--either
brothers or at least cousins. There was also a Philo, son of Isaih, born in
VT living in the area. Any assistance from anyone would be greatly
appreciated. Please email to TerryTxRn(a)aol.com
Thank you for joining the Lanphear / Lamfier / etc. list. We hope you will share your problems and findings regarding this family. You need only to join one spelling of the surname as messages are sent to all four I handle.
