I don't know if any further mail was sent. William E. did go to visit but
it was many years latter and he did not see his brother. In later years he
did finally write his parents. I do not have theos letters.
I'm looking for my lost LANKFORD ancestor. He would've
been in the Lincoln Co, GA area, circa 1890s. He was the
father of my great grandmother, Annie. Annie was later
adopted and given another surname- Landrum- when her
mother remarried. I am assuming this LANKFORD ancestor of
mine deceased shortly after Sept of 1899 when my great
grandmother was born. I have nothing to go on, no
dates/names, etc. Here is what I have gathered so far:
m Ellen Jane MORRIS before 1899 GA?
d after Sept 1899
Annie Marie LANKFORD.......then Landrum
b 9-24-1899 Lincoln Co, GA
m A.L. SANDERS 1916 SC
d 1984 MD
Please, if anyone knows of any LANKFORD families in that
area at that time or any of the info above, please help!!
