This is my first post, but I have enjoyed reading everybody else e-mail. I have not seen anything about the Knauer line I am looking for. I hope some body might have some information that might help me so here goes:
My GGrandmother was named Amilia Langer. She was born on January 19, 1861 in Germany. (I believe some where around Prussia). She came to Philadelphia around 1883 with her husband Ernst Knauer. The had three children, Emma M. Knauer (B- 8-3-1888 D - 3-1976), William Carl Knauer (B-1892 D-1947) and my Grandmother Lillian I. Knauer (B 12-9-1896 D 7-30-1990). Amilia passed away on August 16, 1931 in Philadelphia. Sometime between 1883 and 1910 they moved to 720 North Bodine Street. They show up in the Philadelphia City Directory and the 1910 Census at this address. There is no listing for them in the 1900 City Directory and the 1900 Census has another family listed at the 720 N. Bodine street address. With out going through the entire 1900 Census for Philadelphia, I am sort of at a dead end. My aunt is the only living relative who remembers my GGreatgrand parents, but here information is very limited.
If anyone has information on this line or any ideas where I might look I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanking You in Advance.
