The record should be located in the registers of the oldest church in Webster, which is
probably Sacred Heart, though this church may not have been established until after 1880.
Until then it may have been a mission of one of the nearby older parishes until its
establishment as an official parish (you can check in Southbridge, Douglas, Dudley, etc.)
for this information. Am pretty sure the parish of Notre-Dame Southbridge was its mother
Although the civil record was filed in Webster, the religious notation would be in the
registers of the mother parish, and actually state that it was performed in one of its
satellite missions in another town. One book that is helpful to consult is about the
dates of Establishment of New England parishes (available from AFGS in Woonsocket, RI).
