I have a will, made by John Landis of Rockhill Twp. Bucks Co. Penna. He
mentions a beloved wife, Elizabeth, children, Abraham,b ? Jacob,b ?
Samuel,January/07/1801 Susanna b ? married to Henry Derstine ( I believe
they moved to New York) and Catherine. The will is pretty long and very
detailed concerning payment of money, land he left to the boys, etc. He
wrote the will and had it signed in November of 1819. ( He made
provisions to take care of Samuel, who would be 21 in a couple years)
It would appear that Abraham was not able to pay the interest on his land
and it was sold at sherrif sale, (After John died) and the mother
Elizabeth bought it and gave it back to him. Then somewhere around 1824
Jacob died, leaving a wife and heirs (?) and there is a Samuel Gehman
named as executor of his estate. We are wondering, does anyone know what
become of this family? Or who were John and Elizabeth's parents?
