Subject: [LAN] Missing Bodies
I have been searching fruitlessly for my missing
final resting place. I know that my gt-gt-gt-grandmother,
Betty Barlow, was
buried by the then vicar of Ainsworth Parish Church, Rev. Robert Macdonnell
Evanson, on the 12th May 1861 and died on the 8th, which is listed in the
I have the index for the cemetery and there does not appear to be any
either Betty or James, I have also approached the warden (Mr.
Turner) but to avail. Mr Turner has done a fantastic job for me listing all
the Barlow's in the cemetery, unfortunately not finding Betty or James.
Can anyone advise where to go from here - is it usual for Churches to lose
surely there must be an original record somewhere of grave numbers
Help - don't know where else to look.
