I rather assumed that Isaac was a "lapsed Catholic" as my Gran used to say. We
certainly had a mix of RC and CofE in the family.
I have tried the online parish clerks for Isaac's burial but it's not there. Both
of his marriages are as well as the burial for Agnes. I can't get to that lovely
central library in Liverpool (I live at the far end of Cornwall), I remember it well, but
I will order a death cert if they are available. I know he was living in Cook St,
Liverpool in 1837 so that will help. Am I right in thinking that there are no certificates
for BMDs before 1837?
I did look up "Decline" when I first found the record and the opinion was it was
something that they just weren't sure about such as cancer. As it was reasonably soon
after the birth of James I wondered if it might be related but then an untreated infection
should have seen her off quicker than that.
Thank you again for taking the time to look, it's very kind of you.
