I have to put my hands up here, but I am in fact a West Ham supporter.
Dad was born in Church, Accrington and so he always kept an eye on both Blackburn Rovers
and Accrington Stanley. When he died 5 years ago, I felt obliged to also keep an eye out
for their performances as a nod to my Lancastrian roots.
I am, therefore, very happy that the outcome kept West Ham 4th from bottom, whilst

My dad once explained to me that as a boy attending a football match it made him realise
what a difference there was between the north and south. While living in London they would
watch Brentford and when someone nearly scored, everyone went "Oooooooooooh!!"
When he went back to Lancashire they would go and watch Blackburn, and when someone nearly
scored, everyone went "Eeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!"
