Yes, I believe the Thomas Boylan living with Edwin and Mary Mowett and Ann Sinnott is
When I found 2 Anne Sinnotts living within several blocks of each other and each fitting
the profile of Rosanna's mother, I suspected that she may have been enumerated in both
places. Perhaps she normally lived with her unmarried son, Martin, but was staying for a
time with her daughter Mary to help out with the children. If I had to choose between the
two Anne Sinnotts, I would go with the one living with Mary and Edwin.
I had seen the John Boylan living at the Liverpool Seaman's Orphanage. I suspect it
is Rosanna's son. According to the marriage certificate, William Boylan was a mariner
and I suppose he could have been lost at sea. William Richards was also a mariner. Thank
you for all the information on the Liverpool Seamen's Ophan Institution. I will follow
up on that.
I am relatively new at genealogical research. While I have previously found some of the
census information that you have, I have missed several of the BMD listings. It certainly
sounds like the marriage record you found for Roseannah Boylin and William Richards is
correct and also the death for Rosanna Richards. My uncle had listed 1879 as the death
date for Rosanna but my father had thought she died in childbirth with Catherine (1875).
Perhaps my uncle was correct. I think it is worth ordering those certificates from the GRO
