To Darla Tooley,
Would appreciate a lookup please re your 1891 Census.
Samuel Heywood, b.Dec.5,1873 Manchester
Ellen Lever,b. 1880 Lower Broughton
They were married Sept.3 1898 the Parish Church, St.
James Higher Broughton, County of Salford.
Their marriage certificate brought me their fathers names.
Samuel's father was William and Ellen's (Nelly) father was Charles
James Lever. At the time of the marriage,
Samuel lived at 42 Basten St. and Ellen lived at 47 Warwick st. I then
checked the 1881 census again and found the Levers at 65 Oldham Rd
with the residents being Charles (57) b.Bolton, Lavinia
(57)b.Worsley,Charles James (27) b.Beswick,Isabella (3)
and Nelly (10mths) both born in Lower Broughton. I wonder that there
is no mention of their mother.??
A Heywood family was found at 1 Ivy Court, Hulme with William (39)
Elizabeth (41) Wm.Jr.(11) James (9) and Samuel (6) His age is probably
close enough and as well William was a blacksmith which matches info
on the marriage certificate.
I would appreciate any info on either of the families. Thanyou for
your kind offer.
