I have a draft of a job application my G-grandfather (electrical
engineer) wrote in about 1911 in which he states he had been working for
the B.W. co. (his abbreviation) for seven years. He had started working
for B.W. co. in England and was completing a major project of B.W. with
the Argentine railways.
Can anyone tell me (or guess) what the B.W. co.s full name may have
been? It would seem that they were a major concern at the time as the
Argentine project ran for at least 5yrs.
If it was B & W - it might be Babcock & Wilcock perhaps, from Rennie (?)
in Scotland who built steam boilers etc, including those for railways.
