Just thought I would add my two cents. When I was growing up, the boy next
door was named Squire. My collie was also named Squire. My father was going
to name him Sire, but chose the former instead. My grandfather who was from
Canada and had a thick French Canadian accent used to call my dog SQUARE.

Have found both a Squire and a Lord Tattersall in Burnley. Lord has a
connection with my family, don't know how, still working on that. Don't
think Squire and Lord were brothers. Bid did notice Squire and Lord
brothers (can't recall last name, might have been Stutt?) in Burnley in
some records I was going through. Diana, Ontario.
