I assume you know that the images of the 1911 Scottish census returns are to
be found only on the Scotlands People website at www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk
I had a look on the census index and found 3 George BARNETTs (all indexed
with the double 't') in the age range 25 to 30. They were: George BARNETT,
age 27. living in the Maryhill district of Glasgow; George BARNETT age 28
living in the St Nicholas district of Aberdeen; and George BARNETT, 30,
living in the St George district of Edinburgh.
Unfortunately, it isn't possible to search the Scottish census by place of
birth, only by name, second person forename, age and census district.
Scotlands People is a pay site but £7 will buy you 30 credits. It would
cost you 6 credits to view the results of a search then view the image of
one of the results. It will cost you a further 5 credits to view a second
result etc If you are successful with the first result you looked at,
then you could spend the remaining credits, for example, on viewing the
image of George Barnet(t)'s birth certificate (the birth of a George Barnet
was registered in Leith North in 1884). The birth certificate would give you
the names of his parents (including the maiden name of his mother) and the
date and place of their marriage. Assuming they were married in Scotland you
would be able to download their marriage certificate from the Scotlands
