Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb

H. Edward LAMPE, 61, died about 11:05PM Saturday, October 26, 1968 at Memorial
Hospital. He had suffered a coronary attack a week earlier. He was born
September 11, 1907 in Lee County, the son of Theodore and Mary Elizabeth
(MENKINS) LAMPE. On August 14, 1930 in Ottumwa he was married to Mary Catherine
SMITH, who survives. Mr. LAMPE was employed by the city of Mt. Pleasant
for 32 years, seven of them as city manager. He has been superintendent
of the buildings and grounds department at the Mental Health Institute
for 11 years and was also fire chief at the M.H.I. He was a member and
vice-president of Henry County React No. 44. Besides his wife, he is survived
by two sons snd three daughters, Glen LAMPE and Everette LAMPE, Mrs. Robert
(Evelyn) ROTH, Mrs. Kenneth (Ellen) REYNOLDS, Mrs. Marvin (Mary Kay) HILL,
all of Mt. Pleasant; six grandchildren; two brothers, Stacey LAMPE of Mt.
Pleasant and Herman LAMPE of New London; three sisters, Mrs. John (Rose)
HOLTCAMP of rural Mt. Pleasant, Mrs. Max (Alma) JACOBS and Mrs. George
(Agnes) JACOBS, both of Mt. Pleasant. His parents, one brother, one sister,
and a granddaughter predeceased him. Rosary will be said Monday at 7:30PM
at the Weir-Cookes Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM
Tuesday, October 29, 1968 at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church. Rev. Lawrence
Vogel will officiate. Burial will be in St. Alphonsus Cemetery.
