Imo Lakey was my grandmothers sister. She was not the missionary in Mexico, that was her daughter Irene. Irene spent her entire adult life with "her" Indians in the mountains of Mexico. Imo lived for many years in a tiny house on a corner in Long Beach, Ca. with her canaries. It was just a few blocks from the beach. Milton took her to Nev. to live with him when she could no longer live on her own. I used to visit her almost daily when I briefly lived with grandma Clara & family. Visited her every chance I got til the Pearsall's left L.B. Irene tried to retire & moved to Ca briefly but could not adapt to modern American culture & returned to her indians where she was happy. Milton was an engineer a silver miner (with a mine in Fallon & one just west of Reno just off I -80) He was also a reasonably accomplished musician. I have a picture of Imo & Clara when they were young probably late teens early 20's.
