Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb
This is just a general heads-up to make sure the system is actually
functioning, and to give people a general idea of what's going on. First
of all, the purpose of this list, as with all rootsweb lists is to discuss

There is also a similar list at Lgrone@egroups.com/Lgrone(a)onelist.com which
I also maintain. That list was established for in depth criticism and
examination of sources. This list has no such limitations, and, like most
rootsweb lists, is really intended to facilitate communication between
As far as I can determine, there are several lines of Lekrones and Legrons
that derive from Pennsylvania about which I know a little, but not much.
Then there are the descendants of
Lorenze and Tobias Le Crown/Lagrone in South Carolina (as well as those
descended from former

Lagrones (since that is where my wife's family derives), I welcome all
input and questions on any lines of research.
(BTW the reason that I took this post was to free up the Rootsweb staff
member who was keeping track of it -- if anyone else wants to take over,
just let me know).
