I just wanted to thank everyone for your support in the recent near
election.
I appreciate the opportunity to continue serving as the Louisiana State
Coordinator for a while longer.
As most of you know I announced quite some time ago that I would step down
and call for an election for a new coordinator. Several months later, I
sort of changed my mind and decided I would not mind remaining, but still
wanted to call for an election since I had previously promised one. In
addition, rumblings throughout the project indicated that if I did not
volunteer to have an election, higher ups would eventually demand one.
I had another reason for wanting to call for an election as I decided I
wanted to design a new state website. And I did not want to go to the
trouble of putting a new website together and then get kicked out...
I have started the project of developing the new website and want to invite
each of you to visit it.
In a separate message to be sent immediately after this one I will send the
url for the new site and describe what is in store for the site and how you
can help make it a valuable site for the project.
I am writing it in a separate message since it may become a long message and
not every coordinator may want to wade through it.
Thanks again for the vote of confidence and have a fun and valuable Summer
ahead.
