The GenWeb has always had the choice of using a private server or RW.
Yes, we all need to be looking at the sites and seeing how the banners are going to affect
us. Plus, discussing and making some decisions whether individual or as a group.
Right now, I'm observing the reactions and reserving any final decisions until I can
make at least a semi-intelligent one. <g>
RootsWeb has been good to everyone *in the past*. Once they sold out to Ancestry this was
bound to happen eventually and there is probably more changes to come.
If anyone is a part of any Archive projects how are the banners and any other additions
going to affect your pages? I know the archives is a separate discussion, but changes are
in the makings there also. Plus, don't forget that if you have FreePages the banners
are in place there now. They (the banners) are not particularly offensive, but how are
they affecting the layout of your pages. What is next?
Just some thoughts....

And there are lots of them! lol (I'm on the list.)
Shouldn't we be having a conversation in Louisiana about how we feel about
the server and staying with Rootsweb?
So many other sites are moving away from Rootsweb and finding alternatives.
