Hi,
I am sending this message partly in response to the message I forwarded
earlier from Holly Timm.
Back in June I read a conversation on one of the lists that made me think it
would be wise to purchase the lagenweb domains (
lagenweb.org,
lagenweb.net
and
lagenweb.com) so I did. All three are registered to point to the
LAGenWeb main site on RootsWeb,
www.rootsweb.com/~lagenweb/.
I did not announce this as I really did not think it was that important,
other than to "reserve" the names for possible future use.
I only mention it now since the "Traci Parsons-Holder" situation has
occurred.
Personally, I believe the LAGenWeb Project can continue as it has, as a
group of genealogists interested in maintaining parish sites for the state
of Louisiana.
However, if enough people believe that it is important to formalize the
group in any way, I invite you to start a conversation along those lines.
Otherwise, we can keep working on the pages as we always have and know that
our visitors will continue to enjoy the pages as they always have.
Thanks for all your help with the LAGenWeb Project, lets keep it up.
Edward
