Folks,
After months of soul searching, I have decided to resign as LAGenWeb
state coordinator; effective Feb. 1. I've also decided to leave all of
USGenWeb. I just want to pursue other interests...in 6 yrs I'll be 40, and
there's other things I want to accomplish before then.
Speaking of 40, yesterday was my 40th wedding anniverary and I was so busy I
didn't notice until late last night!
I have one book out and the Heritage Books editor wanting my next asap. I'm
also writing two newspaper columns a week now, so I just don't have the time
to spend on LaGenWeb like I used to.... but I am still doing professional
research and will continue to maintain the Winn Parish web page and the
LaProfessional site (of which we need more people in each parish willing to
do research for pay--I"ve had 3 emails this week about people needing amature
researchers in North La)
As Bobby said, it has been wonderful, but it is also time for me to move over
and let someone younger take over <grin>
Anyway, back to the subject at hand.
Annette is also wanting to step-down as Asst. state coord.; although I
offered her the job of state coord. She declined.
So, I need those of you interested in being the new state coord. to email
me
[not the list].
BTW, this is not my last post just yet.
Mine either... I'll be around. I'm just ready to sit on the back row!
Love to all,
Annette
